Auction or we buy houses- best way to sell a house?
We have a house in bakersfield, ca and it has been in the market for months and we’re tempted to put it into auction. How does it work? How about we buy houses? Are they reliable? We are not foreclosing the house though.

Auctions cost money to advertise about 10K in bakersfield to do it right wouldn’t suggest it. More for developers
You need to go to and let them do a short sale they have investor buyers already.

only people looking to steal a property go to auctions, and they are expensive.
Try what I call a “5 day sale” its like an auction but you do it yourself and you aren’t bound to anything. Advertise your house everywhere you can think of for the week before the 5 day sale. Put up signs, advertise in all local real estate classifieds, post online in lots of places, etc. Wednesday through Sunday (the days of your sale) have set times in your ads where your house can be seen, and mention that all offers have to be in by sunset on Sunday and you will be contacting the winning offer afterwards.

First you need to become realistically informed about why your particular house has not sold the conventional way yet. What is the problem? Because unless you understand what the exact problem is, the other solutions you are thinking about may or may not be the answer. Second, you want to determine how bad you want to sell the home. Because, if you do not have to sell it right now, then your best option is to pull it out of the market and rest on it for a while. But then again, it all depends on your financial situation.
It is also important that you find out what the realistic value of the house is. And I mean realistic.
