You have taken a very laudable decision of screening your future tenants. For better property management it is imperative to approach professional tenant screening services. The information which the landlord wants in order to screen falls into the following categories:
1. income and employment
2. rental history
3. eviction history
4. credit history
One of the good services I know which can do all of these checks and also will help you in other landlording activities is The American Apartment Owners Association. Their members receive a free tenant screening report allowing them to check tenant eviction history, criminal and illegal activities if any. It also offers the ability to process tenant credit checks online.

Well, there are certainly a lot of online sites you can use but better be careful as a lot of them are scams and will just waste your time.. i haven’t tested all of them but a quick search in google or yahoo reveals some legit sites in the top five results.. another option for you would be to use local background checking agencies which you can find on your local yellow pages..

Hi,
It is very important to use a legitimate and the most up-to-date background and credit rcords database for doing your checks.
Otherwise, you might miss out some recent records from your search.
Here are a few of them, and they all are legitimate, confidential and well managed background records databases. Of course you will also get the records about someone’s credit history such as bankruptcy etc.
Hope this helps.
