I live with my parent and have just got a full time job, am I entitled to housing benefit?

housing benefit
my parent gets housing benefit and I was exempt from paying rent while on JSA… now that I have a full time job minimum wage job, will I be entitled to any housing benefit due to my low income and the household income being low?

    No you wont be entitled to anything now you have a full time job.

    Your parents own the home and would be the only ones able to claim housing benefit, but even then if you are working full time then they wont be able to claim anything.

    I don’t think that you will be entitled to any housing benefit, but do your homework, there are benefits in only paying a small portion of rent when you are low income, and see can you get additional help too if needed.

    No you are not entitled to housing beenfit if you still live with your parents.

    If they are claiming it, and you are living with them and working, they will take a deduction from your parents Housing benefit, based on how much you earn. If you are working Minnimum wage, and full time, this will be around £23 per week.
