They give you a day or two; after that, they change the locks.

Yes. It’s called foreclosure and you’ll have plenty of notice that it’s coming.

Yes the court will normally agree a date when the reposession will take place.

ps. At the bottom of the page it say’s this Q was asked in the UK. Only a court can agree to repossession and a mortgage company will normally give around 3 weeks notice AFTER the court case.

You have plenty of notice it is not like it gets repossessed out of the blue!

They repossess your house not your things. Yes you can remove your TV, photos etc.

In the US homes are foreclosed, not repossessed. And yes, you have court dates and notices and have time to get your possessions out. The lender is entitled to the home, appliances, fixtures, not your furniture and clothing. Lenders are slow to move into and complete the foreclosure process, taking up to 2 years in some cases.

In the U.K. you get 2-3 hours if you agree this with them first…better to move it before this

When your home goes to foreclosure you are given many months of notice. You have plenty of time to remove your belongings. Don’t wait until the last minute!

You will be given time to remove all your personal things. How long will depend on the courts
